I ordered these shoes because I have a bad hip and do not have the range of motion to bend for tying. I wanted a sneaker that I can slip on hands free, and the heel won’t crush. I have only had these for a few days, and so far these shoes are comfortable, provide enough support, are true to size and the heel bounces right back after slipping them on. For the price, I expect to get at least six months out of them before the heel starts to deteriorate. I’ll update my review after I’ve worn them for a few months. These are true to advertising in that I didn’t need any hands to slide them on. However, they provide so little support. I was hoping to use them for walking but would need an insert to provide arch support, which to me defeats the purpose of no hands (since in my experience the inserts tend to slide around). For $100, I’d expect better quality but it appears the price is based on mostly on the emphasis of the hands-free design. I ended up returning these and getting a good quality shoe horn to help put on my Brooks Ghost running shoes instead. These shoes really help with my independence. However, they are not as comfy as I would like they don’t have the cushion that I am used to. They’re hard on my heels. So I can’t wear them as long as I would like to. But they do provide the ability for me to put my shoes on by myself which is exactly what the advertisement states. This is absolutely an awesome product. I have 2 pairs and love them, but recently my 97 year old father in law mentioned that he has trouble bending over and tying his shoes. He's one of the pickiest people alive, but we bought him a pair of Kizik's and he absolutely loves them. I know it's not Kizik's target market, but I cant think of a better solution for seniors who struggle to get shoes on. they are also awesome for lazy guys like me that can still bend down, but just don't want to!!Saves time and my back.I can easily slip right into these shoes. You are paying for technology. Comfort is decent and not too shabby. some people might need to add Dr. Schols gel etc if standing all day.So yes... You can get more comfy shoes for the same amount like Brooks. But then you don't get this tech.I have kizik and a pair of brooks. These shoes work as advertised with an easy on design. No shoe horn needed, no tying of shoes. Very light weight. Run true to size.Got a pair of these about a year and a half ago and love them. I've tied them maybe twice in that whole time. I've just placed an order for a new pair since I've worn the soles on these in so much they're starting to bottom out. Only issue was it took a little getting used to/worn in when I first got them. On long walks (2+ miles) the springs would slightly irritate the sides of my foot but after a few walks and that was gone. Wore these for a 6 mile hike the other day with no issues. Absolutely amazing.Shoes run small... had to return them and get a half size larger
